alternate evolutions don't really improve the original species. if this image was of the base forms (goomy) then it'd count. bellossom increasing isn't really an improvement for vileplume. unless of course you get opportunities for really innovative egg moves like how the hitmons can give their movepools, that purely through leveling are exclusive, to each other. if hisuian goodra gave original goodra a brand new move that significantly changed how it plays, then fans of the original would be appreciative, even if not as much as they would be for a mega goodra

I get Baxcalibur not having a special gimmick because he was just introduced and its game's gimmick is universal but what the fuck was Dragapult's excuse for not having a Giga form? And why is Hydreigon still being ignored?

I mean the only reason Mega ttar and chomp are "bad" is because their normal forms are so good you'd rather just use them, save the mega slot for someone else, and be able to use an actual item. They're still strong, just not strong enough relative to their base form to justify the opportunity cost.

Are you GENUINELY insane? You "put down" your Goodra any time you catch or breed a new one. It's still a Goodra, it's the same species.
Goodra got a new version of itself in LA you can use instead, Vileplume didn't get a new version of itself in GS, it got a sibling.
