Concierge is great but the Aardman one looked kinda ass to me not gonna lie. The voices sounded way too human like and it feels like they're just rebadging Shaun the Sheep but making it Pokemon. Not to mention Galar is possibly one of the most boring Pokemon regions to date

Did you think the Aardman one somehow wasn't gonna be as british as humanely possible? It was always gonna be set in Galar. But I also think it looks very underwhelming, it doesn't even look like Aardman. When they did a short for Star Wars Visions it was Aardman as fuck, you could recognize them from a mile away. I am British. I grew up on Wallace and Gromit. I just don't think it meshes well with Pokemon. Nor do I like Galar because it feels like a very shallow, theme park version of what a Pokemon region inspired by England could've been.

was kinda skeptical on the first season and it won me over. its fucking charming and cute.
I didn't like the last episode though. Haru talking about other adventures they had, how she adapted to it all, and I felt left out. She was still learning the ways and pokemon on the episode before.
Hope they discard that shit. I love my wife being clumsy and learning.

I really liked it, but I wonder what new conflicts they can create for the MC. Her arc was to stop treating her job as a job and to let go a little, have fun and such. She learned that well enough so I don't know what else they could possibly do with her.

Regardless, it's a super chill show and I like that they didn't immediately can it.

Yamashita is infamous for not allowing his music to be streamed online, and even his latest releases had been limited to physical media like tapes and vinyls. He caved to making some newer music videos in the wake of his new online fame (unless that was just the Plastic Love one?) but most unofficial reuploads of his songs will still get struck down within days or weeks.

It would be nice if Concierge changed this and ONOMATOPE ISLAND becomes available for streaming, because it sounds great, like a sequel to Ride on Time mixed with many of his other old songs. I'm not watching Concierge but I'd appreciate it if it contributed to bringing Yamashita's music distribution into the modern age.
