Maybe I'm confusing it with the "Pokéworld =/= real world" topic, where GF claims the Pokéworld is its own thing, there are no animals etc., but then you have real life fruits (despite GF going through the effort of making Pokéworld equivalents) and regions resembling their real life counterparts. Which can be also applied to negative topics.
