We are now reminded of how awful Gneration 6 was, and how its introduction of megas was the beginning of the downfall toward modern Pokemon in both design philosophy and development philosophy.

If I had a time machine, I'd go back to 9/10/2001 and warn the Pokemon community about Masuda's legacy.

Gen 5's poorly conceived execution and the ensuing outcry caused the handling of Gen 6, so it's rightfully Gen 5's fault

Every from gen 5 on felt completely disconnected from everything that came before and everything after. All isolated corners of the same "world".

I thought eventually we'd get some sort of explanation or timeline or anything, but GF stopped caring after Gen 4.

The Sinjoh ruins, with the connection between the creation trio, Arceus, Unown, and Ruins of Alph was the last time the Pokemon world felt connected.

i get you're just baiting the discord retards but megas were actually a good thing overall, not perfect sure (wish gen 6 mons had some at the time, so many good designs in there) but what new gameplay mechanic is? the special stat split and the physical/special split were good too but both also fucked over some mons. you should instead go back to 2015 and bomb level -5 because yokai watch was what made them drop the mechanic for new lame gimmicks every generation

Quite the opposite, Gen 6 is one of few generations that bring genuine excitement to players hence the amount of engagement Z-A is receiving just from a few minutes of trailer. If you see certain other generations, all their discussion keep cycling around their differences with Gen 6 which is a statement of how powerful it truly is.

False. Everytime there's a new game relating to an old region, there's always discussion about it. Also Gen 6 is rarely compared to. If anything 1, 2 and 5 are way more talked about in that sense. I recommend spending more time off 4chan.
