Honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised by it.
It looks better than about 70% of other megas. Low bar, I know, but hey, if we're bringing megas back, they look like they've improved this past decade.

I agree. I’m tired of all the negativity. Dragonite is probably my 2nd favorite Pokemon, and I understand that not every design will appeal to everyone, but I’m still able to see the good aspects of it and admire what it is.

I would probably think it was neat if it didn't confirm that the leaks were real. I just hate how everything seems to have already been leaked, and not even in a way that was fun. I shouted no at the screen when I saw it because now I feel like I have nothing new to discover once the game comes out.

Yeah, Mega Dragonite looks amazing. The pearl on the tail is peak design choice.

it lines up perfectly with the aesthetic for the rest of the line. this board would love it if it had a genwun sprite. i think it's cute and fits the evo line very well, though i don't see myself fitting it on my team.

Looking at it when next to past megas, it doesn't really feel out of place.
I know people say it's a bit too simplistic, and I do get that, but we've had other "simple" Mega designs in the past that, at least I'd say, work out well. (ex. Kangaskhan & Sableye, hell I'll even say Venusaur).
Also, I like that it regains the wings on its head and the gem on its tail from Dragonair.
