Yeah I like the idea of giving Dragonite more Dragonairish features and I think what they added makes sense, but the design still doesn't look right so far. I'm not a Dragonite fan but I don't even think it really looks better, even though I do prefer the idea behind the Mega design more.

I think maybe the issue is that keeping the colors the same makes it look like it didn't really change much. Maybe they should've made it blue or green or, IDK, white or silver or something. This design >>58031660 isn't perfect to me either (weird claws, random spikes) but is still better than the actual mega at least.

This just demonstrates the problem with megas. Sure, the design is better, but it's just a temporary form that'll be in this one game and never seen again.
A branched evolution would have been a much better solution. That way it isn't tied to a gimmick, would appear in every game the rest of the line does, and could actually resemble dragonair more than this half measure.
