Pokemon needs to return to Japan, but the tenth generation will once again be set in a Western country.

My nigger, the game ran like a fucking powerpoint over certain areas of the map like that big lake and the open world was just utterly devoid of anything of interest, no point in exploring most of it. They didn't even bother giving gym leaders and such different teams at different levels if you beat them out of order, the game wants to be an open world yet it tardwrangles you through a specific path you are heavily discouraged from deviating from. The game also just looks like shit, a step back from Arceus which while not anything spectacular was at least mildly pleasant to gaze at sometimes. It just feels like a whole lot of missed opportunities, I guess the characters are at least decent compared to SS's

I think Game Freak does best when they do regions with Japanese influence. They seem scared to offend people, especially with Western European inspired regions. As a region, theming wise at least, Alola and Unova were both pretty good since the melting pot aspect of the US allowed them to play with the setting more and make it more Japanese influenced, even if a little. Like Alola's links to Kanto or the Kami trio in Unova. Kalos is the least worst of the Western European regions imo since it at least has some direction.

Make it less focused on cities, and more focused on exploration, because Australia has a surprising amount of biomes from deserts to tundra, and some really fucking weird natural phenomena.
