Brutally mediocre and brought down by forcing you to play only with one controller. And it's completely not their fault, but stick drift also makes this experience overall worse, and it is their fault for not letting you play with pro controllers.
6/10 games.

LGPE is my favorite Pokémon game.

"Kanto but in 3D" is something that a lot of hardcore fans have always wanted to see, including myself. The world is so detailed and beautiful. Having Mega Evolutions and Pokemon following you, is the cherry on top of the cake.

LGPE is simply the best Pokemon experience.

inb4 "muh Abilities": Gen 1 and 2 didn't have abilities either.

inb4 "but the Sevii Islands": LGPE doesn't need the Sevii Islands since it's about the original 151 Pokémon and the Sevii Islands were mainly about Johto Pokemon.

I never played it and don't really have any interest in doing so, but I saw someone play and enjoy it who thought Pokemon was stupid before this so I guess the game did what it was trying to do-- that is, trying to introduce the series to a new audience

Its more of re-imagining than a remake but yeah I liked it.

Yes. It aged pretty well.
It did a couple of things wrong (it's beyond me why, despite being a Yellow remake, it removed iconic Yellow-only elements, such as the anime cameo Trainers), but generally did a good job in reimagining Kanto. The world design felt detailed and more lively than ever, went back to the roots with most character designs.

Def want to have Johto remade in the same style as well. I'm sure it'd make some of Johto's iconic places look even better.

No since the lets go capture mechanic sucks ass, but the Eevee moments are insanely cute and it was still enjoyable so I forgive it.

I find it funny that a lot of people here act like the Pokemon-Go-style catching mechanic is such a big deal breaker. Because it isn't.

What truly matters is the battle system. And in LGPE the battle system is perfect.

As nice as that sounds I know it'll never happen. The sole purpose of this game is to wring more money out of genwunners, they have zero intention of trying it with any other gen.

It's fine if you can accept it's meant to be a simpler experience. Main issues are the hyperfocus on the Kanto Pokédex and especially the lack of an option to use a Pro Controller when playing on TV.
