Pokemon have too many level-up moves in modern gens

I kinda fail to see the issue here. What is the problem? Too much versatility? Too many shit moves? Too many OP moves? OP moves at low levels?

It was more impactful when you had to decide how to use limited-use TMs and/or breed to get good movesets.

it's better for PvP but worse for the campaign (makes it even easier and you feel less like you're the one personalizing your mons)
