The question being asked, ultimately, is whether you believe Zekrom and Reshiram combined would be unable to defeat Eternatus, and that seems far-fetched to me. At the very minimum they're equals, but the dragons just seem to have more implied power to them.

The SwSh legendaries are more reactive than proactive, no? Feels like they wouldn't do anything to help the Galarians, who would be the aggressors in this case if this were to mimic the American Revolution, unless Reshiram and Zekrom personally flew over and attempted to glass the region.

Zacian and Zamazenta don't have the raw earth-scorching firepower, but they do have the superior hax. Zacian's fairy sword is said to be "able to cut through anything" and Zamazenta's shield is supposedly a perfect defense.

Eternatus is also a hax-abusing whore. While in Eternamax form at least he's explicitly stated to warp space time, so it's debatable how effective the Tao duo's attacks would be, while we see that the dogs can rip through it.

Ultimately, they have different strengths. Unova's pair can decimate armies and devastate entire countries, while the dogs are geared towards the 1v1 and personal duels. They can probably win if Reshiram and Zekrom stay and fight, but would be at a disadvantage if they decided to just fly over Galar at mach-fuck and beamspam everything.

If it did ever come down to it then Zacian and Zamezanta would die like dogs. Eternatus was solo against them, but the twin dragons are two, nullfying the greatest advantage the dogs had against Eternatus: that being the ability to coordinate perfect offense and defense against a long targer.
And even if we presume the dogs could beat the two dragons, there are strategical aspects to factor in. The twin dragons have better mobility in the air and better mass destruction capability, so they'd be able to remove the Galarian armies and leave the dogs trapped in a sea of angry Unovans. If that's still not enough, they could fly over to Galar and do a nuking to force the dogs to surrender. If the dogs try to do the same thing in Unova then they'll likely be facing the swords of justice + the rest of the Unovan forces.

Both regions are super fucked but I think Galar has an edge, and would also bounce back faster. Kyurem and the three genies are a pretty decent threat, but Calyrex is bullshit and can regrow life in a glassed wasteland, it was his whole deal. I think the Galarian bird trio can match the genies in the sky and Regidrago and Regieleki can do insane levels of damage to Unovan cities.

Calyrex is a precog, so bullshit counters bullshit, and Eternatus can raise an army of gigantic rampaging pokemon in an instant. It's close, but Galar wins. Better luck next time yanks.

The dragons are actually a very even match for the dogs I would say. Their secondary typings both provide defense against steel, and Reshiram also counters fairy weakness. Zekrom would struggle while Reshiram would thrive. Probably the two dragons that could actually stand up to the dogs. But I also feel like the dogs absolutely have better teamwork. The dragons split for a reason and have been enemies before, but the dogs are true bash brothers.

tbdesu any world where the legendaries are so willing to take part in wars is a world where either the legendaries are incredibly weak or one that's constantly getting sent back to the spearchucker age because of civilization repeatedly being wiped out.
The slightest interregional conflict would be a slippery slope of mutually assured destruction because the second one legendary gets involved they all get involved.

I think Pillar Men would be the result of a proto ultimate weapon made by cavemen. Or one that didn't absorb enough Pokemon to grant immortality like AZ's did.
Instead they gain longevity and the ability to absorb living beings like the weapon can. Their supernatural abilities are the result of AURA of course, made easier because of the Infinity Energy within them. AZ never had aura of his own because his ass was too depressed to cultivate the energy in him.

Since Area Zero exists, there could be potentially more paranormal undisclosed locations across the globe. Of natural origin or artificially created, like The Zone from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

In terms of Western and Eastern Blocs. Politically speaking, Japan would be associated with the West.

All official regions (core, side and spin-off (considering only Rangers here) games) are based on RL countries that are part of the Western Bloc:

Pokémon regions seem far less populated and settled than their IRL country counterparts. Unova being the biggest example. I hope a future game explores a region that's not really a region yet, just a bunch of explorers mapping a new land for settlement. The franchise sorely needs more exploration.

I think it's less type based and more specific to pokemon types. For example, something like a Trevenant could live a long time due to being a tree compared to a Gourghiest. And a Blastoise or a Turtinator due to being a turtle compared to a Seaking, Durant, or a Tatsugiri.
