Why haven't Master Balls replaced all other ball variants by now? Is Silph Co. stupid?
>>58044635 (OP)That would be terrible commercially speaking
>>58044635 (OP)probably incredibly expensive to manufacture at a large scale. And the price in retail alone would be a turn off for buyers.
Why haven't they caught all the legendaries in master balls?
>>58044651Because luxury balls are a bigger flex
>>58044635 (OP)yeah so all your pokeball, superball, great ball, and every other ball become unsoldable, great way to ruin your own business, retard
>>58044635 (OP)Are you? That shit is highly regulated and despite common belief, is not a guaranteed catch.
>>58044635 (OP)If you talk to the people working at silph one of them says that the president rethought his plan of mass producing the ball after team rocket tried to take over the building.
>>58044843In Lets Go the president himself explicitly tells you this while giving you the 'only' protoype.
Is there a point to the Master ball?
It lost its purpose after Gen 4, the last games which had roaming Pokemon and even then they made them significantly easier to encounter and catch
Since Gen 5 legendaries are a guaranteed catch as long as you stock up on balls
With shinies they're only shaky during the early game when you're not well stocked with Poke/Premier/Luxury balls yet
Also Fearow and Tentacruel aren't in recent games
>>58045889That info is from gen 1 anyways
>>58045889What do you have against Lets Get Ready to Rumble Boxing?
Pokeballs cost 2 bucks, Great Balls are 6, and Ultra Balls are 12. I'm assuming this is because each of them use higher quality parts than the last, and the catch rate reflects that (normally, let's not consider glitches or critical catches). We also have another premium Pokeball example with Luxury Balls costing 10 bucks with an extremely low catch rate, but going up to 30 bucks due to inflation in recent years. Given how the Master Ball basically always works, it must be made of incredibly high quality materials, which should drive up the costs dramatically. So they can manufacture them but it's probably a limited run item. Great for prizes in lotteries that mathematically nobody will win, solid for some evil team to fucking steal or big business to have one lying around, but not something your average consumer can afford. It's not just the luxury car of Pokeballs, it's the custom built luxury car of Pokeballs. Of course bikes apparently cost 10k so who the fuck knows how much it would actually be or if my logic is remotely sound.
