What was your go to sinnoh starter when you were young /vp/?

I always loved Empoleon. Easy moveset every time too, surf/ice beam/flash canon and rain dain. Sure having a ground weakness as a water type was weird but he was just a big cool penguin and I loved him

Turtwig. I may be autistic, because I always pick Grass. Unless it's Johto.

Torterra's always my go-to.
Second time I picked a Grass starter, but I got stuck somewhere in Emerald with Sceptile (probably at Flannery), and reset my save after a friend at school said I'd need Swampert or Blaziken to beat Steven, lol.

Turtwig is awesome and cute but evolving it sucks because the big turtles just look dumb and lopsided, not like a starter Pokémon. Empoleon is cool if you want to evolve, but mostly I’d keep both the turtle and penguin unevolved since they’re so cute.
