The mons themselves are fine and somewhat complement each, except for not having real ways of getting past any bulky Steel-type and begging to be soloed by Archaludon. But stupid item selection and incredibly shitty movesets make it not a challenge at all even if you go in with a team full of mons caught in the Terarium that are 20~ish levels below (and also Ogerpon because Kieran's incel malding is too funny not to witness). Even casuals can beat him on the first try.
BDSP Cynthia's rematch team still has the best balance of all characters, only held back by certain move choices like Sucker Punch on Spiritomb instead of Foul Play and Luke having EQ instead of SD, but the remakes introduced a whole new generation to the joys of being curbstomped by an E4 repeatedly (Will won so hard) and a satisfyingly challenging Champion. Counter-teaming haha gottem Timmys and fags who build comp teams for in-game need not comment, naturally.

If you play the DLCs after you've beaten the game, with how your strength affects the pacing, you end up spending about 50% of your time battling kieran in the teal mask, and it's really funny

He's not switching out his Politoed to reset the weather so it's practically pointless to build the rest of his team around rain when either his actual rain abuser will take advantage of the 5 turns of rain or he gets his shit kicked in so fast that the rain is still up by the time he sends out his second to last Pokemon and if that's the case then you're probably stomping him so hard that more rain abusers don't matter.
