It's like a two-way tie between Typhlosion's line and Meganium. Totodile's line is one of the greatest evo-lines in this series. Compared to that, the others got fucked hard.

I actually caught and used all of 'em. The occasional Nuzlocke. Battle Frontier. Living Dex. All those little misc. goals. I'd be lying if I said I haven't played the odd ROM hack that has Pokemon from other generations, but I would also be lying if I said I knew any of 'em from Adam. Most of them look worse than fakemon.

Sure, there ARE some worse designs in gen I, but Blastoise ranks pretty fucking low on the roster of good-looking compared to its prior stages of evolution. At least with Bulbasaur -> Venasaur you know what you're getting and get it as advertised.
