This Yellow Legacy team was pretty fun.
Onix got massive stat buffs. +40 in HP, +35 in Attack, +35 in Special, +15 in Speed.
Magnemite can be found much earlier in Route 6.
Pinsir can also be found much earlier in Route 9. Once it learns the buffed Twineedle, it becomes a monster.
Hitmonchan got a major overhaul. It received +70 in Special so it can make use of the elemental punches (which have increased odds for secondary effects), as well as being able to tank special moves. While it loses 50 in Attack, the tradeoff is worth it.

This is now my favorite team from Kanto, could swap Pikachu for Jolteon, but that kills part of the fun of playing Pokémon Yellow.
