I say "gym puzzle" what's the first gym that comes to mind? The first one that comes to mind for me is lt surge's gym it's the only gym that has an actual puzzle
>>58070765 (OP) I still can't believe that >outrageous Dragon type specialist from kanto visits Hawaii >"I'm gonna bring the BEST of Kanto gym culture here!" >it's a county hall full of used dustbins still malding thoroughly to this very day
>>58070812 Surge's gym has to be the most iconic cause no matter how many times it gets remade it stays exactly the same like every other gym gets some new bell and whistle meanwhile surge keeps his gym as a boring ass switch puzzle
>>58071203 It is not even a real hack or anything, just a dumb image.

>>58070812 I like the tourist trap joke. Way better than the authentic Japanese garden having Nugget Bridge from Kanto even though the city was Johto inspired apparently. Once again USUM is way better.

>>58070765 (OP) >This shit causes me to check every trashcan in pokemon even though I know very few of them will ever have anything This gym was a psyop.
>>58070765 (OP) How the fuck is this a puzzle? It's trial and error guesswork. Feel like you have to actually use your brain to solve it for it to count as a puzzle.
>>58070765 (OP) This is no more a puzzle than the lottery is. A puzzle is something you need to actually work out with logic from information that's presented to you up front, not just wildly pressing buttons and banking on random chance. Actual decent puzzles: >Viridian HGSS >Mahogany HGSS >Fortree >Mossdeep (RS) >Sootopolis >Pastoria >Snowpoint (I think this is the best one) >Veilstone (moreso DP/BDSP) >Icirrus >Humilau >Hulbury There are some others that are just about puzzles but the actual options are so narrow that it's basically a straight line with a button, but at least it requires maybe 2 seconds of thought: >Azalea HGSS >Blackthorn (all versions) >Sunyshore >Castelia (BW) Everything else is either >walk from a to b >walk from a to b with arbitrary useless doors/panels >battle trainers to unlock path from a to b >walk from a to b but it's DARK oooo >aimlessly press buttons
>>58072008 >>58072131 wtf, did they nerf this gym in platinum? must have never noticed

>>58070765 (OP) Picrel isn't a puzzle, retard, it's pure trial and error

>>58070765 (OP) Ragebait in OP aside, I think of the Fortree and Sootopolis gyms from RSE as well as the Emerald version of the Mossdeep one specifically. I recall enjoying a few of the SwSh ones (Stow-on-Side, Kabu's one), but not so much the rest >>58072008 is also a good answer

>>58072230 I wouldn't call Erika's gym a puzzle, the puzzle is to just have a pokemon with cut on you. Blaine's and Brawley's are way too simple as well, and Norman's isn't so much a puzzle as it is a series of battles (still really cool idea though, I wish more gyms did something with the actual battles).
>>58070765 (OP) Mahogany Gym, because when I think about puzzles in Pokรฉmon games, I think about slippery ice floors, although my favorite is the Sootopolis Gym. Speaking of which, I guess I should check out Pokรฉmon Friends, then.
