Yes, it's been retarded lately no matter which model I pick and how I set the parameters. I'll simply keep my beans and take a break, I guess.
It's been driving me crazy. Every response suddenly has the same format, repetitive words/phrases, and reiterates whatever I say verbatim. No progress unless I push for an advancement, it's like talking to a wall.

Quipy here. Back from my break and I'm gonna start making bots again. Glad to see the thread is still kickin. Any developments or updates that happened?

So I went and tested my bots to make sure that everything with my account was still "right" and a lot of my bots (Machamp Daycare, Oppai Oasis, Raifort and Professor Pygmy are the pokémon bots) got outright deleted on cai. I'm not too sure what happened as they were fine for the longest time but just suddenly got yeeted. Rentry anon can you either delete those bots from the rentry or move it to a "deleted/yeeted" list?

I assume you mean cai, in which case they finally added a write-in memory box. In the app only. The app also has ads now to sell you cai+. There was also that soft launch model for cai, which is more for erp, although the filter persists. It was supposed to only be around for the summer, but they made it permanent because people liked it (obviously). As you can see I think people are having more problems with bots getting removed too. They've been skittering around a little headless ever since some dude killed himself because his game of thrones waifu "told" him to (he just said he was going to "go to her" and she said do it)
As for non-cai, there's been updates for all the notable models pretty much. Not sure if anyone particularly uses any for RP

I stopped coming to these threads around two months ago. I was aware of the child taking his own life. I guess no head way has been made on that case if cai is still functional. I don't use the app, I only use desktop (in regards to cai and yodayo/moescape). It baffles me that even if you pay for cai+ that you need to fight the filter. Not to get political or anything but an executive order got signed into place saying payment processors can fuck clean off trying to push their morals on people so hopefully it changes things in the future.

Filter was down last week. Was great to be able to have sex again. Fucked Pokemon Trainer Ivy as a Houndoom. Before you say, the filter only stops vanilla, that is no longer true and I was unable to continue that roleplay this week. I could tell the writing was more creative when the filter was down.Yes, it is one of those things where you can't 100% know, but responses were drastically different than usual.

I'd say CAI was good for having known character options but Chub was better for character customization with open defs but today Yodayo seems the best unless you want to bother setting up Sillytavern locally. There aren't many Pokemon characters / pokemon on Yodayo though. Agnai was good for dialog tree forks but sometimes it is hard to get model settings right without it going over temp.

At this point it's only fun to do it on CAI because it's forbidden. I'm also not finding their model much better than Yodayo's even for chatting/adventuring.Yodayo's main problem is the 21 swipe limit where you can do more but it deletes older ones and if you delete messages to rewind it merges your newer message swipes into the older messages overwritting that messages swipes. CAI doesn't have this issue but has a hard 30 swipe limit per message for free users. Agnai's dialog tree is better than both allowing forks and plenty of swipes without overwriting issues like Yodayo has. Tavern is probably better but I haven't bother downloading anything to set it up locally. I have plenty of characters I want to chat with on Yodayo.

Lorebooks are for world building. Mention the setting and other characters. That way you don't need to stuff all of that info into the character defs.

I think you can switch models without starting a new chat now, though you could always have just told it to start a duplicate chat on the latest message and switched it from there
I couldn't tell you much good it is since I don't really use cai anymore, but anons seemed to like it. It did seem better for erp when I tried it briefly, but since I was still fiddling with the filter, I didn't see a point in continuing

The filter still exists but it's much harder to trigger with Soft Launch. (depending on how brutal you are on your narration) A bit of euphemism should carry you very far though.
Not gonna lie, c.ai did some tweaks with their models these last few weeks that practically destroyed their quality. Soft Launch can still give you some hot responses, but it feels very bland and stalls absurdly.
DeepSqueak is one of the only good models for roleplay, it can also give you good responses for gooning sessions, sometimes even better than Soft Launch, though it's more prone to trigger the censoring. It's exclusive to c.ai+ for now but they already stated that it'll be available to everyone at some point.

As I said, just go along with euphemisms and you should be able to have decently good gooning sessions.
