I just finished doing tons and tons of runs to get enough exp candy to round out my boxes of competitive pokemon, and I gotta tell you, the amount of mouthbreathers who bring Skeledirge, Ceruledge, Koraidon, and anything else you can think of that will get oneshot by this thing is unreal

It was so fucking bad that I instantly left any lobby that had one of those selected, you're guaranteed to lose 1/5 of your timer off the bat and a single death makes it close

Choice Band is 1.5x, and you use Drain Punch a good 7-8 times or so over the course of the raid to nab a fair few 2x hits. The main reason for wanting Choice Band over Metronome is if you're never gonna use Focus Energy as a pick-me-up, and are worried about flinches from the poo rat's Icicle Crash, which has happened to me before.
I still elect for the Metronome since I've only been flinched twice, and it's also missed Icicle Crash twice as well since it's 90%, and I say that anything below 95% is 50% in a trench coat.

The AI allies are great, they can heal, afflict status, have intimidate etc. The latter can be especially good cause they faint a lot and apply intimidate every time they come. And their faints don't eat up the timer of course.

That's just the way you're interpreting it, a victory is a victory. If a sports team wins a match it counts as 1 victory, not one for each player. There's nothing surprising about 6 million being beaten either, raid events in this game are still popular, I always get a 4 person lobby almost instantly.
