Day 71
I trained hard, making sure all six of my core team—Serperior, Lucario, Excadrill, Galvantula, Volcarona, and Zoroark—were ready for the ultimate challenge. Entering the Pokémon League, I faced the Elite Four with determination. Grimsley went down with little resistance, Caitlin failed to even land a hit, Shauntal was dispatched without much trouble, and while Marshal put up the biggest fight, I still defeated him without losing a single Pokémon.
Then came the final test—the new Champion of Unova, Iris. She opened with Hydreigon, and Volcarona used Quiver Dance to boost before striking it down with Silver Wind. Excadrill followed up, setting up Swords Dance before drilling through Druddigon with Drill Run. Lucario stepped in next, boosting with Swords Dance and finishing Aggron with a single Aura Sphere.
But then Haxorus entered the battle. Excadrill tried to hold its ground, but a crushing Earthquake took it out. I sent in Zoroark, who outspeed and punished Haxorus with Punishment, claiming victory in that duel. Galvantula then shocked Lapras with a clean one-hit Discharge. Finally, Iris’s last Pokémon, Archeops, proved dangerous—Zoroark couldn’t finish it off and fell to Acrobatics. With four Pokémon remaining, Lucario stepped up, landing two decisive Aura Spheres to bring Archeops down.
And with that, I had done it—defeated Iris and claimed the title of Champion of Unova.
