This game seems to really not want new players to onboard. You have to grind for licenses, held items, and items to level up held items, and that's leaving emblems out. Not sure why the chinks can't just stick to selling $20 skins, more people would be willing to buy those and the battlepass if they could actually use the pokemon they wanted to.

I progress a bit in solo mode when I'm tired of ranked and want any kind of reward for matches. Aside from battle point cards and aeos coins you get for claiming repeated clothing/poses, it's not really worth it.

It is quite amazing how much easier it is to win when I am playing a support. 13 wins and 7 loses as Blissey. Already done with the achievement but I will play a few more games. I like having at least 25-30 matches before switching to another Pokemon. Next one on the agenda is another all-rounder. There are so many of them.

What's makes All-Rounders different from the other roles?
I know Attackers are supposed to be ranged and very fragile
Defenders have low damage but high utility via CC and high defenses
Supporters often provide Healing or other utility
But what does an All Rounder bring to the table? Based on the name alone it sounds like it doesnt excel at anything but does everything only decently

Done with Blissey so I decided to play something more complicated - Scyther/Scizor. The achievement for them is a bit insane (get 10 kills on targets marked with Double Hit in a single battle) but I'm not disliking their gameplay so far. Scyther is a bit spastic, making it harder to play, but it hits deceptively hard.

Tsareena fits All-Rounder role very well. Its job is to be on a frontline and spam skills, regaining as many hit points as possible with Triple Axel/Stomp. Its bulk is not much different from Pokemon like Mimikyu, Charizard or Urshifu too.
Haven't played Tinkaton but it seems to fit its role based on what I've seen.
Suicune shouldn't really be an All-Rounder considering it's ranged and has tons of CC. Scyther ought to be a Speedster while I'm on a topic of weirdly classified Pokemon.

I almost always lean towards not evolving while playing Scyther. It kills so fast and can actually dodge a lot of CC. I only despise how weird aiming with Dual Wingbeat is. Targeted place instantly snaps from the enemy into thin air if you even slightly touch analog. Anyway - 6 wins and 3 loses so far (5:2 for Scyther and 1:1 for Scizor). Back to 1400s.

By the way, Scizor's achievement is basically impossible in ranked for me. I had a couple of matches with 10 kills but none of them were against marked enemies.

First to 500 is my favourite mode to play against bots due to upgrades and ability to finish the game earlier. Really helps with achievements like the Scizor one.

I went from 6:3 on Scizor to 8:13. I'm completely convinced 90% of playerbase is genuine kids and actual retards. Though I can't blame only them because Unite's metagame is pure cancer of attackers killing everything in two-three hits now. Half of the teamfights end within 5 seconds, it's a disaster.

Final score for Scyther/Scizor - 10 wins, 14 losses. I'm starting to believe I am the problem in ranked matches. I tend to farm instead of helping allies fight when they are not doing objectives. It's so rare for my team mates to win 2v2 or 3v3 battles though...

Anyway, I'm putting both Pokemon in good tier - above average but not great. I like Scyther's damage and dashes, however it's too squishy and its aiming is wonky. Scizor is just fun to chase with and brawl. It's surprisingly hard to kite but as easy to CC as you would expect. I think I prefer Scizor after switching to Swords Dance + Bullet Punch.

No idea what to pick next. I still have 7 All-Rounders to go through but I need to switch to something else. I'll pick one of these next.
Attackers - Armarouge, Espeon, Raichu.
Supporters - Alcremie, Hoopa, Psyduck.

Those and Alolan Ninetales shut down Falinks completely but don't forget how many Pokemon benefit from fighting Falinks. Metagross gets better shield with Meteor Mash. Gyarados gains more attack speed with Dragonbreath. Zeraora heals for more with auto attacks. And then there are AOE special attackers like Gardevoir and Delphox who deal more damage to Falinks as well.

Also, I can't take people who recommend Rapid Fire Scarf, Muscle Band and attack speed emblems for Hoopa seriously. Why sacrifice so much potential bulk for a little more damage?

I don't get how Mist Ball Latias has such a low winrate, I can get massive damage and healing every single game while passively making the team more bulky or making secures easier with the enemy damage reduction by merely existing. The only thing I can think of is that Latias players are constantly trying to frontline or backline instead of playing poke and just end up blowing up immediately or failing to use their bulk/instant healing from pulse as move denial.
Like, I would understand all of Latias' sets being low if people can't understand her or the Unite's inconsistency fucks it over but Mist Ball specifically is baffling to me.

I've been spamming Pawmot for a while since its one of my favorite Gen 9 mons and my opinion is that the entire Fighter Mode gimmick needs a rework. Building Unite solely from moves/autos feels ungodly slow if you don't AFK farm for a massive chunk of the match desite getting up to 8% from fighting opponents due to Pawmot not having much cycle potential, Fighter Mode needs to last longer, and the Fighter Mode moves having tradeoffs that make 3/4 moves feels way worse to use is absolutely insane given the commitment it takes to build in the first place.
Here's what I'd do:
>Supercell Slam
Make the leap unstoppable, Give a shield upon landing the slam depending on foes landed on ala Metagross Gryo Ball, remove the fucking Fighter Mode lowering the range+removing the slow and simply make it so that it no longer needs to charge
>Mach Punch
Move is fine at base but Fighter Mode removing the CC feels like giga ass. Instead, the Fighter Mode version should be a big ass shove that has kidnap potential
>Thunder Punch
Put the slow back on Fighter Mode and make it stronger, like 50-60%. This makes up for the lower range
>Volt Switch
Using the first hit of the base version now Paralyzes the foe like Nuzzle does. They can keep the single-use nature of the Fighter Mode version but keep the new Paralysis and give it a .5-1s stun to compensate

What's the point of Leftovers? By the time it comes into effect your ability is probably back up to heal in a bush, and the HP recovery effect is pointless. It doesn't improve your healing amount, you just get a tiny bonus to the very slow practically unnoticable passive health regen every mon has.
Likewise, Latias can do what any lifesteal mon does and just find a mob to heal from.

I know it'd be disastrous for the game because of bad players but I really wish Unites had much higher energy rates. I'm so tired of being solo united by petty bad bad players the moment they start losing a 1v1 and, yeah sure, it's good for my team in the end cause now they have no Unite for the important teamfight but god is it annoying.

Hoopa is good. Trick with Shadow Ball lets you save lives with shield and stuns while doing noticeable damage. Hyperspace Hole gives you A LOT of opportunities to turn the tide of battle. The ultimate is a true gem though - it sometimes decides who wins and who loses at Groudon. Not only is the instant teleport powerful, Hoopa Unbound has insane AOE stun too.
Still, I'm not that super fond of supports in general so it's just good to me. Not great.

Time for another All-Rounder I guess. Still seve- eight to go. Aegislash, Blaziken, Dragonite, Machamp or Tinkaton will be next.

Mime is legacy good along with Goss, you have to really fuck up with balance to make kits like those bad.
