God, this screenshot truly shows HGSS's soul deficiency.
In GSC, the Ampharos room was a comfy space inside the otherwise dark and gloomy Lighthouse, with a table and other house elements.
In the remakes, they just stand there in some empty circle with literally no purpose.

The games were good in overall but they definitely lack much of the original soul.

HGSS has a lot of such lazy design elements, like generic, coniferous Ilex Forest, uninteractable objects (that were interactable in GSC), Kurt not working at his work table etc.

2. God knows how long she's already been up there with the Ampharos. Could be a week she's been up there just waiting for someone to fight 10 Pokémon trainer battles and climb the lighthouse for shots and giggles or to ask her why she isn't at her job and then ask that person to surf across a sea channel to another city to get a drug for the sick Pokémon.

Maybe they just wanted to keep it consistent with the rest of the residential furnishing standards. The vast majority of residences in the game have neither a kitchen nor a bed. So why would a lighthouse room where a Pokémon lives have such luxuries?
