Yeah, that's because in the teraleak we found the gen 10 games referenced as KN in some of the files, and something about islands. Everyone's first guess at Japanese words that fit as a pair was Kaze (wind) and Nami (wave), but I don't recall seeing any files confirm the names at the time. It wasn't until the most recent batch of files from the last few days that there was anything more concrete.
Every game since like Crystal has used the English loan word for the Japanese title so if anything the more logical guesses would have been English word pairs that start with K (or a hard C) and N. However the recently leaked files do use Wind and Wave, with the story drafts involving a storm legendary on an island that represents the winds or the waves depending on the version, so it's increasingly likely those will be the final title names. If so either we got some very vague but legit early leaks from an insider (since again there was nothing confirming it in the files posted last year) or it was a lucky guess on everyone's part.
OP's are the most plausible logos so far but it's still possible Wind and Wave are preliminary titles and we'll end up with something else entirely when gen 10 gets officially announced. Most of the new info we have comes from slides from end of 2020 where they were planning a Legends Johto for 2024 and gen 10 for 2025 and some rough story drafts so everything we know is still subject to change.
