I started playing Pokémon games just like 5 years ago, started with the classics and had a blast, was thinking like wow what an amazing piece of digital game. All those npcs I could talk to, enter their houses, explore until I find where to go, find some side content and all. And then I get a switch thinking oh now I’l be on touch with the newest Pokémon games… and it was just disappointing. I like Pokémon, battling, leveling up, building my team, having some cool Pokémon that I like. But eeeeverything else, the map, the gameplay, the npcs, the story, it all sucks. It feels like I’m playing a ps2 2000s but so greedy game. It costs a lot of money and it doesn’t feel worth it at all. In Brazil it’s almost a third of the minimum monthly wage, with the dlcs and everything it’s more than half. And I feel the company’s greed while playing, it’s just a bad product but with the one think that I want in it (Pokémon). I compare it to hollow knight, It’s one tenth of the Pokémon price, with a lot of content, free dlcs as the time goes on, and you just feel the love they put in it. Dying light 1 is another example, it’s AAA and the developers actually care for the community, the game is 10 years old and it got its last update this year, you can buy it for like 5-10 dollars with all its content and have a very good time with it. Just some examples of love in the gaming industry, and proof that Pokémon isn’t made with it.

Based. Proof that the games lost soul and it's not just nostalgia.
