This doesn’t look very good either and doesn’t feel like a natural progression for the Totodile line. The problem is that unlike the other Water starters, Feraligatr doesn’t have a theme. Blastoise is like a firefighter that shoots water out of its cannons; Empoleon is an emperor; Primarina is a singer; Inteleon is a secret agent with biological gadgets, etc. Feraligatr is just a generic alligator that bites stuff and that’s it. They had the chance to make a proper final evolution for Totodile back in Gen 2 by building off of Croconaw’s caveman motif, but instead we just got “Totodile but bigger”.
