I don't understand why Lumiose really wants sections of town dedicated to 10 violent lions who kill any who wander by and actively demean or attack people who don't want that. Lumiose was full of people and Pokemon before living and working together, yet somehow they need to coexist even more? I don't get it. The wild Pokemon influx is even a detriment to the Pokemon themselves, the Gogoats can't even do their job anymore.

Jett's tanking her company's value so she can retire and leave the next generation fucked out of pure spite

They dont really, the wild zones are being set up to deal with the massive influx of pokemon. But its not like quasartico is importing lions and letting them loose. They just showed up one day and the best way to deal with it is set up the impenetrable hologram fence. While keeping up a pr campaign so people dont leave.

Presumably after the main plot the wildzones would be carefully decomissioned but we dont get to see that because we need them for postgame.

Is it ever explained how Jett's company gets the "patented Holo Tech" technology to begin with? Did they just take it from Lysandre Labs?

It really is an allegory to immigration, huh?

I presume with Lysandre gone and Team Flare pariah'd, there would be no one to stop them.

>More NPCs complain about the wild zones than support them
>You find abandoned food stands and cars that are now just the playground for wild pokemon
>Pokemon that are absolutely hostile and will tear into an active teen in the prime of their life, god help the young and old
>But the wild zones are actually not enough we need to let all the pokemon loose to get close to people (or rather get close to their guts)
I just don't understand. I guess this is just some Japanese morality

Yes. And it's not even "it's a good thing" in universe, they're trying to find a way to make it seem like a good thing.

The characters in the postgame such as L seem to imply that the wild zones are a positive and that Lumiose needs to "learn to live with them", and that coexisting with the lions and ghosts is the future of the city. That's part of why the Infinite Royal ZA tournament continues: Jacinthe and Ivor both believe that increasing the strength of Lumiose trainers means that wild zones will go away because trainers would be strong enough to fight the lions, not because the lions would be moved elsewhere. You're definitely right about it primarily being a gameplay thing for the post game though.

I kinda feel like Zone 20 gonna stay but actually get the improvement to be a proper Pokemon habitat Mabel wants, but most of the smaller/retarded (Non-Park) ones will get removed once the Wild Pokemon attracted by the energy leaves.

This is a world where teleport pads are standard issue in office buildings and evil hide outs.
They have massive, levitating sailing ships.
They invented time travel in 2000.
A couple of hard light walls are nothing.

The more interesting question would be how some random upper class bint can high-jack the system and abuse it for personal amusement and the dystopian cyber punk implications of that.

No idea, but he was right.
And I'm not even anti-inmigration entirely, but in the specific scenario in the game he was right. It sucked having to battle him.

Because she is rich and has money.
That's all you need to control the world.

It's more complicated than that. The HoloCaster technology was important in XY, especially to Lysandre, the man who developed it. He made the technology explicitly to bring the people of Kalos closer together. In ZA, we see the HoloCaster technology has returned, but it's now patented under Quasar, and their intent is largely the same, except now it's to bring the people and Pokemon closer together. Given that Jett's family was in Team Flare at some point, it begs the question: how did Jett get this technology? Is her daughter Malva(the only Team Flare person I can think of that was hands on with the technology)?

The original Legends game was also like this
>Establish that pokemon are dangerous
>Survey corp members are routinely injured gravely by pokemon
>you the player are defenseless against wild pokemon unless you have your own
>being exiled from the city is almost certain death by pokemon
But as you do side quests people in the city become accustomed to pokemon, to the point where one NPC tells her granddaughter to stop being afraid of pokemon and get with the times
Then five minutes later an Alpha Scyther is trying to chop your head off. GF decided to have their cake and eat it too with the setting

I believe Mable mentions in the postgame that the alphas are being created by the life energy of Xerneas as it draws closer to the Prism Tower, but I'm not sure if it's just those specific postgame alphas or all of them.
