How many pokemon here will change typing? Like in ZA i doubt many here will change typing but there are some obvious contenders for type change.

There's no way it loses dragon/typing. It likely stays ground dragon but with a focus on special attack. If it does change typing, it has a decent amount of water type moves in it's movepool that it can use and it does kinda make some thematic sense. Ground shark unlocking ancient dna

Have Glimmora root itself, maybe put itself face down in the ground and resembling the Ultimate Weapon to really fuck with people.

Also just have Golisopod be an 'it just gets bigger' Mega with a real ability, I'm fine with wacky and goofy megs, some of them suck, but not for Golisopod, its needs this.

At least even if Mega Golisopod ability sucks it can't be as bad as the base ability. Even if it had the same ability upon megaevolving you won't have to worry about that in Z-A because no abilities, you will be free to use your body without restrictions

Golurk's Pokedex entries suggest the mega might involve removing the seal from Golurk's body.
I'm actually kinda worried Golurk might be retyped with the Mega. The potential is there - it could become Ghost/Flying or Ghost/Fighting as just two examples.
But it would make me very sad.

Hopefully it gets the Beedrill treatment because 555 BST for a mega is really not very good unless it’s minmaxed.

IMO there is no guarantee that these will be the Megas in the DLC.
Datamining could be old assets, placeholders, scrapped base game stuff repurposed for DLC, etc.

This post is so disingenuous and I'm pretty sure yawnfag is the one that keeps spamming it but, I'll bite the bait regardless.
Scovillain is alright, not great, but it definitely could fit into an older gen, it's stats basically scream Hoenn.
Maushold is lame and far too simplistic, if it was an old Pokemon it would have more details going for it and likely more realistic features, they tried a similar design in gen 3's beta and it was rejected for a good reason.
Baxcalibur's posture looks fucking terrible compared to Tyranitar, not to mention Tyranitar already did the Godzilla inspiration far better. The design isn't even bad, but it just doesn't work with the bizarre way it stands, yes, I know it's le hecking reference to men in kaiju suits, it still doesn't look good.
It would have been far better if they kept Arctibax' dinosaur posture to make it so Baxcalibur looks even more like a Concavenator. Also-

Complete opposite of regular Mega, sleek design with less saturated color scheme, jack up the speed bigly and make it a counterpick to Dragapult, give it either a Rock typing instead of Ground to counterpick Flying and Ice better with Rock Slide, give Glaive Rush in Champ to really meme.

Jack up the bulk and attack to insane levels and give Regenrator, or bulkmaxx and give Huge Power. Rip the band-aid limiter off its chest like the Pokedex entry says, and have it bursting at the seams with ghastly powers, don't just make it permanent cannon form.

My concern is that many of them won't.
BOTH Mega Raichu remain pure Electric. So IF this list is accurate, and some Pokemon gain second Mega Evolutions, I fear that they will retain the same typing.
I'd love to see a Dark/Fairy Absol that has much higher Speed, but I fear it'll stay pure-Dark just like the current one.
I just do not trust GameFreak/TPCi to make good decisions with selecting and designing Pokemon anymore.

Fighting-psychic Lucario seems way too predictable and generic, I feel like he might remain fighting-steel but be more special focused or become fighting-ghost or steel-ghost. I hope they also emphasize the steel typing more

I'm curious what they'll even do with Magearna, her body and soul is entirely artificial, so she has no DNA. So I wonder how the mega is even going to work or change her design. Maybe she becomes much more combat oriented like gundam or Jenny, and ditches the maid theme a bit. Maybe the pokeball dress shifts around her so it doesn't look like she's wearing a dress anymore

I'm just glad Magearna is finally getting attention in dlc, and that she'll finally have fans and get fan art that isn't centered around the Shillie family

the form data actually gives us that info. We know that all 3 tatsugiri have different megas(Tatsugiri has 6 forms in the data)

Meowstic seems to have a shared mega(though IIRC Matt mentioned something about some weirdness there, so it could be some missing info). Also Magearna has 2 different megas(presumably one for Original Color)
