Update from a few threads ago, I tried finding my shiny alpha Metang to get in a heavy ball. Couldn't find one, so when another Beldum spawned, I just sucked it up and kept trying, and I finally just caught it. Pic related was the catch rate. Don't do what I do.

I guess the going theory with the spawn increase glitch is that the spawn needs to have multiple species of Pokemon that can spawn in the spot for it to work. Which checks out with everything we know works so far.

Admittedly asking the wrong guy as I'm the type to put everything in the regular Pokeball.

I picked Timer from all the balls available in the game if you wanna try and match as the I feel the white and reddish orange on the best match color scheme and accents of Delphox.

The Master ball also matches ok due to the purple shade being similar but I'm not a fan of that ball in general.

I'm lost on why a dusk ball would match outside of spooky and witch.

I got lucky, but you can reset 2 at a time in the sewers with distance resetting. Takes something like 9s per reset. So you can do almost 14 encounters per minute. It would take a little over an hour with the charm to reach odds.

Reloading an area as much as possible.
Once a shiny spawns, it won't despawn if you reload that area. Because of that, you can mindlessly reload an area over and over, then eventually check it and see if any shinies spawned.
Best ways of doing so are either fast travelling or benches, depending on the pokemon you're looking for.

Don't forget to grind the infinite royale, just got a second love ball, time to hunt for rabbits

Once you set up all six alphas to start spawning under the tower remains, yeah, you can bench all you want. Just don't fast travel or pass the despawn threshold until you've gotten your haul's worth.

Thankfully, shinies don't despawn in this game unless you trigger their running away animation. If you hear the shiny noise, immediately save in case it's one of those Pokémon with baked in running away animations like some of the bird Pokémon on major streets, or Pokémon that run when they spot you like Bedew, Patrat, Dratini, etc. Then put a pin on your map around where you heard the noise and begin walking around to establish a perimeter of where the noise triggers. The shiny noise triggers when you're horizontally close to the shiny Pokémon, irregardless of heights, so check the roofs.

No Lopunny doesn't work because there isn't a 2nd Pokemon for it to pull from. A pokemon Center being nearby doesn't matter it's just convenient. From what it seems a spawner needs both extra positions and other Pokemon in it's pool to draw from. The game probably looks for another Lopunny to spawn but finds nothing in it's pool so it doesn't spawn anything. With the exception of the Gastly/Mawile I don't think anything in range of the Zone 18 bench would work. The Swablu/Noibat ones can't since even though their in the same spawner there in the spawn pool at separate times.

The usual 252 into HP and Sp.Atk, with the remaining 4 into Defense or Sp.Def. You can run also unusual spreads to help survivability against specific match ups, but that requires more tinkering with damage calcs.

Glaceon doesn't have enough speed to reach certain breakpoints to significantly reduce cooldown.

Someone mentioned that jefe youtuber whatever luring the drilburs out when they're alpha since they get dig. Having done it myself it does seem to increase spawns, but I'm not sure on the distance you need to lure the alphas away and how to properly reset. Just closing and opening the game spawns the same exact guys, it's not gonna reset the shinies.

I guess I can try to explain how I think it works but I could mess something up typing this off the top of my head. he was saying he'd make a video at some point though so.

Basically rest at the nearest center first and set time to morning
keep fast traveling to 8 until you get alpha drilbur spawn. He focused on only taking ones from around the outer edge so do that if you want to be safe but middle ones could probably work too
Anyway aggro it and lead back to the gate you enter from. Wait for dig then exit so it comes outside with you and immediately save and reload the game.
Now that it's out keep it spawned in but move away enough to despawn the Pokemon in the zone so go about 70m away. Once you have that save and reset and keep reloading until you get another alpha Drilbur.
He in total got 3 out but more should be better. Just repeat the process until you have 3 or as many as you can manage out of the zone while keeping in mind you only have until the night transition.
Once you have your Drilbur out lead them about 60 meters away from the gate and save the game with them there. Then reload and move about 60 meters further away from them and save and reload.
From there move back towards the zone with the Drilbur so both them and the new spawns are loaded and save and reload
finally let them knock you out with everything loaded and when you walk back from the poke center the spawn overload should be active
Once you can confirm it's working (he was getting at least 2 gible each time it seemed) reset again and after being knocked out save just before you get close enough to load the pokemon from the zone in from there just check spawns and keep resetting the game until you get your Gible. Just make sure you don't fast travel back to or near the zone as it will likely ruin the glitch and the spawns will go back to normal

Again I could have messed up a part here but off the top of my head I think that's what it was.

Just finished the main story earlier today. Out of nearly 80 hours of play, I only saw five shinies, including the given shiny Mareep. However, the other three, Pichu, Sandile, and Magikarp, were all alphas. All in all, I don't think I could've asked for a better team.
