I don't think Dewgong is really ugly, it's just... there. If it was in any other generation besides precious KANTOOOO, it would have been dismissed as "dex filler" by the fans or scrapped during development for not being special enough to qualify as a Pokemon like the cut peacock Pokemon from gen 3 was.

I like Unova though, Haxorus and Cofagrigus are some of my favorite Pokemon and I enjoy replaying B2W2 every once in a while. I'm just not delusional. Unova has some of the coolest Pokemon, but it also has a lot of the ugliest.

I kind of like how ordinary Druddigon is.
Most Dragon Pokemon are popular boss mons like Dragonite and Garchomp. Druddigon is a simple cave dweller.
