I played it and liked it. I was a little annoyed it kept having fake final bosses, but once someone told me it was originally meant to be a trilogy or something but they had to rush and jam all three games into one, it made sense. I just started taking a little break after each final boss and it felt like 3 nice little games. It depends. iirc they block a certain number of hits, not for a certain amount of time, so if you're using a fast square button combo or one with a lot of multi-hit moves (which you probably are, to get the most out of god hand mode), it can be easy to mash square and not notice they're blocking until it's too late to stop.

The solution is of course to just not mash square for dear life outside of god hand mode, or don't plan your square button combo JUST to milk god hand mode as much as possible, it's a lot easier to react to blocks then.

Unironically though the game would be better if it had VF's feature of being able to clear your input buffer. I dunno if God Hand's input buffer is even big enough for it to be worthwhile though. Still a great game though.
