I've had a fascination with the prerelease builds of Dragon Ball Final Bout for years and I love finding stills and video of it. Everything from the HUD changes to small graphical changes. A chief detail in any gameplay of this build is how wildly unstable it is, with the build on the Taikenban disc not even looking demo-ready. I recently found what looks like an industry-purpose tape capture explaining the gameโs features and promotional campaign; whatโs of note here is how every normal attack can be instantly cancelled into another (from the looks of the things), which is a far cry from how the retail game is. This same version would be featured at E3 1997 (again, barely looking demo-ready with numerous glitches visible). Interestingly, IGN had this version as their review copy for an import review that same year.
