Yeah, I could actually give you a detailed rundown, but the short version is, the original is a much harder game. The International Edition makes some excellent additions, it has more tracks, more leagues, input sensitivity options for manual control, as well as numerous graphical and framerate fixes. It also totally overhauls the difficulty and handling of all the ships so it plays almost entirely differently (the AI is a lot more aggressive in the original). I'd go with International Edition, there's just a lot more to sink your teeth into. The original is worth checking out if you become hardcore about it.
