Not really but sometimes I guess. I thought the story, setting and music was cool enough that I finished FF6 and Earthbound. There's easily 2 dozen I started and never finished though, 3 I dropped before the 1st boss fight. Oh, I beat Mother 3 too but that's only cause I looked online and saw I was in the last chapter because I wad about to drop it if it wasn't almost over.

The level-up data is kept in a table, when you hit 99 it overflows into the wrong character table. I think it's an off-by-one error.

For all the shit gen 1 Pokémon gets about its glitches, at least it had a failsafe for max level and if you get exp past level 100 you automatically go back to lvl 100.
