Post your favorites and why you like them. Gamespot gave pic related a 1.9/10. I found the combat really satisfying and liked how creepy and the atmosphere was very tense and creepy.
it was interesting from a playthrough but i remember it being really broken and unpolished probably a 5/10 game. i played through it around 2018 or so. cant remember much about it. i feel like there are a lot of old games like this that if people did conservative rom hacks on they could elevate it the game to bring it to its full potential.

The original .hack// series was reviewed pretty poorly (70's range) and they are some of my favorite games of all time.
>>11796032I enjoyed it when it came out. nothing like a PGP pump.
>>11796041>70s range>poor70s is a very decent score.
>>11795975 (OP)This game is pure trash you could only like because there were basically 0 other zombie games. I'm sick and tired of people (mainly youtube essayists) cutting this garbage trash.

>>11795975 (OP)Atmosphere was the best part of it, really eerie for an arcade shooter kind of a game.
I remember completing it so it must have been 6/10 at least
DOS Powerslave, sure it was dated when it came out (thanks to delaying the DOS version so they could make and release the Saturn version at the same time) and suffered from having a LOT of competition when it came out, but it's a really fun game and I love the level design specifically. It simply should have released 1 year earlier or at the very least have had a more recent version of Build.
>>11796032Holy shit lol. This was infamous. Weird forgotten era where pc gamers were really pissed at the shovelware that was common at the time, like Deer Hunter. Pc Gamer had a hate boner for deer hunter for fucking years
>>11798660I can't remember which one it was but there was a deer hunting game that was a best seller for a while around 1997 and which spawned a lot of clones.
