Metallica was hated by Soundgarden because "I hate masculinity " only for them to turn against the Alt crowd themselves once they were accused of masculinity lol, grunge as a scene was just modern sjws as a niche subculture. AIC on the other hand always stood on the side of metal. Went on Headbangers Ball and had fun, were closer friends of bands like Pantera than any of the Alt scene, etc.
