Does anyone have any recommendations for fun games in the Arcade Archives series? A ton of them look really fun, but for like $10 a pop they're a bit steep. Yes, I know I could just emulate.

They just did Ridge Racer, but I'm waiting for it to go on sale. Hamster's work has soul.

Mystic Warriors. Anything with 4-players support is good for meetings.

I love these releases, though I wish they were a little cheaper (instead of $8 maybe $5 or $6?). Some of my favorites are:
>Yie Ar Kung Fu
>DK series
>Pac-Land
>Trio the Punch
>Tube Panic (this game is really underrated)
>Karate Champ (The arcade version is actually really good)
>Bosconian
There are so many games and the prices aren't outrageously high, I'd honestly just find some that look cool and take a risk. I just hope they do physical releases of some of the games like what they're doing with the ACA NEO GEO games in Japan

This is also a good point OP. If you like Taito or SNK their Arcade Archives have gotten a few physical collections by this point which are good savings

I got a few SNK games like Fatal Fury, SamSho, and the Metal Slugs because they’re the best official ports you can play (SNK’s dedicated collections on PS2 and the recent SamSho collection are quite bad, worse if emulating because you’re essentially emulating twice)

Splatterhouse and Ninja Spirit although be warned Ninja Spirit is hard as fuck
