Of the Duke or S controller, which one do you all prefer for the Xbox?

The Duke because I have hands that can please a woman.

Funny thing, both of my friends with xboxs had the later controller and I only found out the duke existed in the last few years. Did they ditch them super fast or something? I don’t even ever remember seeing them at game stores or anything.
They’re so funny looking though now I would totally want one if I had an original xbox. I think someone did an official usb variant a few years ago for the 20th anniversary.

Yeah duke was around for its first year but replaced swiftly. The controller s is definitely better.

I like them both and alternate which one I use when I switch games. The duke is really fun and I just couldn't imagine missing out on getting to know it if you're going to play with an Xbox. The jap and western S controllers have different abxy buttons which kind of blew my mind

Duke for the novelty, S for general use.
Never had issues with the Duke, and would always bring one during Halo/Unreal Championship LANs because nobody ever wanted to use it, so you were always guaranteed a spot when you had more than 16 people.

I wanted that xbox so bad. I was living in a dorm and had collected so many dew-coded cups and bottles in my dorm, they were everywhere. I only got enough to get the wall light. I still have it.

The S controller is just better, but the duke was very comfortable even for smaller hands.

Love me the duke. Very comfortable if your hands are normal human sized.

Duke for the fact the black and white buttons are on top of Y and B, and they aren't recessed. The S isn't bad though, but doing drivebys in GTA on that piece of shit is horrible. Both have an awful Dpad, but the triggers make up for it on racing games.

Duke was a tank

Duke was such a good controller, the position of the white/black buttons was perfect, the triggers sat just right, the joysticks were more comfortable to use for long periods than the S.

There will never again be another controller like that.

By the time I bought an xbox they'd phased the Duke controller out so I've never used one, I think I'd prefer the placement of the black/white buttons over the S though, I remember accidentally palming them with the S controller.

Died and went bankrupt. Then the rights to their name were bought. But the guys who call themselves Mad Catz now don't even remotely compare to the old ones.
