Do you want to see a remake of Tales of Phantasia? If not, which other entry in the series do you think deserves one?

I hate the spritework of every remake thus far. The original is one of the most aesthetically pleasing games ever made.

I'd love to see a remake of this, Destiny, and Eternia done in HD-2D, like Octopath.

I would be interested in the DS ones in english and minimal HDification so they dont look like just an emulator running them.

I would like to see a definitive edition of Tales of Phantasia, but that ship has already sailed.
The improved PSP port has some rough edges, and there's no money to be made in either another port, because the game is too outdated, or even a remake, since Phantasia didn't have any cultural impact.

yeah, the snes version looks cool but it lacks nice features the later versions got.

No, it's Chester the one who has no skills.
They did him dirt, Chester has no skills, gets stuck at extremely low level with no event to auto-scale him back, and gets absolutely no experience if he's not in the active party.
It feels like the dev team didn't even want him back in the party. Kinda like how Dorne was built as a throw-away character in their next game.

To be honest, Chester felt superior to the caster characters to me and didn't really need any skills.
He doesn't interrupt the combat flow with any attack animations, levels up reasonably fast, shits out constant damage and once you get the berserker bow he does he rips through the battlefield.

i played the dejap translation and the only thing is that ship ride. but overall is very good.

It's not so much to the point that it's distracting, but it's there.
