Do you think that Nintendo ever regrets NOT staging a hostile takeover of the Pokemon IP after these games?

They have more animations, modes, and replayability than anything GameFreak has been able to really capably do since. They can't even fit in half the Pokemon nowadays in their games.

Could they do a hostile takeover of the Pokemon IP.? They'd have to sue, right? And they'd lose that lawsuit, I think.

It is.
>There's no GR15 for pokemon.
Neither for furfags, you should go back to /trash/ if dumping furshit is all you want to do.
Same for /vp/ fags if they want to bring their board politics and garbage to other Pokemon topics.

And the thread becomes another nugen apologist/DSfag topic for the rest of the thread because of /vp/tard spill over doesn't actually want to talk about Stadium.

I do, i always tell DSfags to fuck off if they try to switch the discussion to "muh Mega Man ZX lore" or HGSS glaze in another general /vr/ topic.

and don't get me started with smashfags using game drama as an excuse to discuss non-retro games.

Gamefreak is so fucking small and cheap and churn out the same shit over and over again that still sell gangbusters, I'm pretty sure that's every big corporation's wet dream so I don't think so.

Nintendoโ€™s problem is that they allowed their second party studios autonomy. It worked for Hal but fucked them over with Rare and Gamefreak

Yes, this was a sequel. One of the kids you fight is a kid who won a Japanese Pokemon Stadium 1 championship prior.

It's futile.
A janny deleted my post for telling /vp/tards to sulk at their shit board. We can talk about retro Pokemon here just fine, but /vp/tards just want to talk about the generic Fromshit ripoff they're making.

Nintendo owns Creatures Inc anyways so it'd be 2 vs 1 against Game Freak, most of the poached talent from Red and Blue were already at EAD or on their way

I think in the mid 2000s they'd want to be bought out anyways like Rare wanted. Nintendo just never seemed to want to

Nintendo was too busy trying to eye at companies who could be good grunts for their second rate titles.
See:NLG, Monolith, Retro (especially when Kelbaugh was king me'd as Nintendo's yesman), etc.

No?
Nintendo got off their ass when they realized Pokemania in the late 90s was a thing and made (or forced others to make):
>Stadium 1 and 2
>Puzzle League
>Snap
>Hey You Pikachu
>Pinball and Trading Card Game for the GBC

Game Freak during this time managed to make...Pokemon Yellow, which is not even considered a remake, just the same game with a handful of new spirtes.
Even the Orange Islands arc of the anime only exists because the Gold and Silver games were delayed. They had to bullshit their own material since they finished the Indigo League before Game Freak made the sequels

it's common knowledge by now that Gamefreak are shit devs by industrial standards?
they never evolved from their indie doujinsoft past.

Chunsoft made better Pokemon RPGs. Though they also screwed up at making them 3D and had to cut down the number of pokemons for that one game but that's not retro.
only the first 2 Mystery Dungs were "retro".
https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Mystery_Dungeon_series

they also had a more "mature" plot and actual characteristations before GF did it!

Nobody actually care about those beyond their cub ERP sessions, that's why they stop making then and switched back making more DBZ and Shiren.

Not exactly true. The anime was going to end or go on hiatus. Because the anime was such a big hit they made those episodes.

pokemon games sell like crazy despite being lazy, barely-held-together-by-tape pieces of shit and cost very little to produce relative to average game costs these days. They have no reason to "stage a hostile takeover" or improve the games at all because pokemon fans are obedient drones who will buy anything as long as the brand is slapped on it.
