should i play the ps2 version of Killzone or the HD remaster?

no real bugs with the remaster last I remember, and it's a more stable performance than the PS2 version going into single digits at times

Real hardware or emulated? If it's the latter, then use the HD version on RPCS3. The cutscenes have fucked up images, but otherwise the game runs flawlessly, being just an upscaled PS2 port.

Someone was working on giving mouse support to PCSX2 and while it supports some games they never finished the Killzone support, the guy made a guide on how to do it yourself but I am too busy to learn how to do that shit. Maybe another anon could and make it the true definitive way to play the game.

This might be one of few games where the HD remaster is just that much superior to the original to the point where you probably should never play the original game ever. The original was never that good. Since the remaster at least fixes its framerate issues and input lag its got to be the much superior option. It would be one thing if KZ1 was a good game and you want to collect for your PS2 but this is not the case.

As some here said, KZ2 and KZ3 are way better games. Those are definitely worth playing although you missed the boat on the mp if you haven't already played them. KZ2 was an especially good time enjoying its mp.
