>pic is a real book
I thought this was ai generated. And I never heard anyone use the word selfie in the 90s, it became popular with the rise of front facing cameras on phones

I was at the drugstore today and saw some coloring books for kids there for sale and man it was all so sterile and soulless. I felt bad for the world.

Everything I've found says that "selfie" was in use by 2002 at the absolute earliest, but more likely 2005ish. Whoever made that book is bullshitting.

Even millennials think those words are retarded. Pretty sure it's older zoomers who use them. Though, I guess young millennials could fit that category too.

No, those are definitely millennialisms. Zoomers have been making fun of that sort of thing for ages, along with other characteristically millennial things like side-parted hair and words like "adulting".

>What?
Middle parts are in, having hair parted to the side is old-fashioned. But really, you don't know what you're talking about in general here. Just search for "millennial cringe" and you'll find plenty of tiktoks of zoomers making fun of all of the things I've described because they're cringe old person things (millennials are now firmly in cringe old person range).

Why would anybody subject themselves to TikTok? Side parted hair has been around for hundreds of years, if not thousands, as has middle parted hair. I don't think you know what you're talking about and besides why would you say these things on a retro videogames board? Cringe is a word that's lost all meaning, I won't be watching anything that uses the word cringe as a descriptor. Your generation is cooked, there isn't anything worthwhile coming out of it and you sound like a retarded 13 year old. All the innovations are made by millennials or older with zoomers having the worst intelligence quotient to date. I have high hopes for gen alpha though.

>breakfast is ruined
Remember when breakfast was factually "the most important meal of the day" and Wheaties were the breakfast of champions?
Now it's up for debate and I don't even know if grocery stores stock Wheaties anymore.

Anyways

Age of Empires and Roller Coaster Tycoon on PC come to mind when I think 90s. Lords of Magic, too.

I heard a guy in his late 20s say it once. He was talking shit about how one of our buddies didn't have any milk or orange juice in his fridge, said he sucked at adulting. It was probably 2016.

Yup, it can be traced back directly to the inclusion of cameras on smart phones and other mobile devices. That one seems forced and weird. Dress up like Thelma & Louise and take Polaroid selfies? Send the photos to whom? Hustler?

Leave it in the bathroom medicine cabinet.
That's what my grandma's neighbor did with a picture of his wife in a hot tub. Steamy.
