agreed. while the gameplay of dkl is fine, for the most part, there are enough annoyance that combined with the atrociously ugly art, it's just another shitty rare game to add to the pile of shitty rare games.

this, on the other hand, is one of the best games on the gameboy.

I totally forgot about this game. I still have it and my Gameboy pocket somewhere. Never made it to the end; either I got bored or more likely my failure to learn all the jumps got me stuck towards the end. Maybe I will revist it. I remember hating those little lizard looking fuckers who walked around in circles and would push you off ledges.

I have never seen a single thread about this game that wasn't made solely to talk shit about DKC.

My grandma had this game, and I would play it on her Game Boy set when I was a kid. Eventually I downloaded the VC version on the 3DS about 13-14 years ago and actually beat it. It's a pretty fun puzzle platformer, tons of stages.

I regret not picking this up when I was a kid. The boxart just didn't make it look very appealing, it seemed a simple remake of the old arcade games, you'd never guess how fucking huge the game truly is.
