Keep waiting, zoomie.
X360 was the end of retro. Period.
>basically PC turned console just like PS4/5
>built in online and HD
>start of the CoD/TES era
>end of platformer and JRPG era
>Western cinematic AAA slop replaced Japanese games
>biggest games are GTAV, Skyrim and Minecraft, still actively played today
None of this is "outdated", go back to playing the Oblivion remaster you faggot z**mer

It's not a time thing. You wouldn't get it. Second-gen consoles have more in common with sixth-gen consoles than they do with seventh-gen consoles.

I don't think they're retro yet, but to prepare for this stuff vr should turn into more of a generals board.
Would inprove the board a lot and ensure that when 7th gen gets added it is basically just a single thread or at most like 3 threads (sony-7/ms-7/nintendo-7)

If anything they'll probably add Wii and that's it, like how the Dreamcast was the only sixth-gen allowed

>X360 was the end of retro. Period.
This November is gonna be a 20yo console. Stop coping.
Famicom was considered retro back in 2001 during NGC launch, but yet an older console is not retro because of some autistic faggots in their midlife crisis.
>basically PC turned console just like PS4/5
Just like OG Xbox, which is retro
>built in online and HD
Wii and 360 didn't support HD at launch, Microsoft add it HDMI and WiFi two years later
>start of the CoD/TES era
That's OG Xbox too.
>end of platformer and JRPG era
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Lost Odyssey, MagnaCarta 2...
>biggest games are GTAV, Skyrim and Minecraft, still actively played today
Counter Strike, SSB Melee, MvC2 (EVO 2025) and World of Warcraft still actively played today too, faggot.

Wii/PS3/360 are 20yo. I'm 100% that is 'against the rules' to talk about it because it is a reminder of how old most of you are.

My personal division of video game history

1-2G= scoring era

The main purpose of video games is scoring,no save or password feature

3-4G=classic era

Birth of many classic
Scrolling and save feature make the games more complexe, scoring became less relevant

5-6G=experimental era

Birth of 3D gaming
Extremely creative era
More cinematic and deep story Line

7G-nowaday=Casual era

Boring,samey,casual

I would be if new games were actually worth a shit. if new anything was worth a shit I'd be all like "ohh shit I'm getting old", but as it stands, old things are better. Old music, old movies, old games, old books, old art. They're all better than 90% of anything new coming out. It's a sign of a decline in culture. Not just American culture, but global culture is in decline. I admire new musicians and artists pushing technical abilities, but the music and art they make is often lackluster compared to virtuosos of the past. It's a sad state of affairs. It's been this way since the 90s though. Not to say good things don't come out these days, it's just far a few between. My midlife crisis is more of a "I can do more, be better, regine my skills and become a better version of myself". Anti aging stuff is all the rage and I'm starting to reap the benefits of those technologies. Turn back the clock to the dawn of time and sing this song with me!

FPBP. The board's already been unusable for years. Imagine adding entitled gen 7 kids like OP into the mix.

I forgot

>Almost no technical limitation

Retro gaming is about overcoming limitation

There is barely limitation with 360/PS3 technologie
