Super Castlevania 4, one of the most sauced-up, awesome 2D platformers ever made. Each level is brimming with atmosphere, unique identity, and kickass music. There are so many soulful little details in every corner. The controls are a bit different than the norm for Castlevania, but fucking fun and satisfying in their own right. It is one of the greatest games ever.

What's your favorite level in Castlevania 4? Mine is either the treasury, the watery ruins, or the spinning barrel.

Fav level is the castle entrance/ballroom, stage IV

I agree. I missed out on the CV series as a kid (well, I guess I was still technically a kid when I got CotM when it was new), and only played IV for the first time in the 2010s. Enjoyed it a lot, especially impressive when you think about how early it was in the life of the console. Konami really knew how to make SNES games.
