Does /vr/ use Retro Achievements?
>>11808143 (OP)I've used them a little bit and would probably be using them more if I didn't have such a retardedly huge backlog of PC games.
>>11808143 (OP)what kind of hyper-autistic turbofag needs "achievements" on retro games?
>>11808158It's the other way around anon. As a hyper-autistic turbofag myself, retroachievements are fucking anathema to me. It's the frat party xbros that are obsessive over cheevos.
Yep, but I don't use hardcore mode and don't care if I don't get all archivements. The only games that I make an effort to complete was the 3 DKCs.
It's nice because for the first time I made a 103% save on DKC, the archivements list helped a lot.
>>11808163I second this (I have been formally diagnosed with autism by.a licensed therapist).
>>11808143 (OP)No, most are too obtuse and autistic and I can't be bothered to have one specific rom. The hardcore mode is nice to remove temptation to save state/rewind, but I mostly play on my MiSTer anyways. I'd rather just record runs rather than go for achievements
>>11808143 (OP)Yup, but I use hardcore mode and don't care if I don't get all achievements. It's nice to check what I unlocked once I beat the game.
the leaderboards in some game are neat, and the achievements can point you to hidden content which is nice. The speedrun or hard restriction achievements are not fun for me though.
>>11808143 (OP)Yes. It forces me to play the game legit instead of cheating with rewind, and chasing all the missables in Willy-like or RPG is an alright way to practice git basics. Save loading is entirely legal as long as only the game itself modifies files. You will not get banned for it.
>>11808163frat party xbros aren't bothering with retrogames.
>>11808252>No, most are too obtuse and autisticmost cheevos are simple progression
>I can't be bothered to have one specific romjust download a no-intro pack and you're good
