Anyone remember YARN on Gamespy Arcade?

You started off with a prompt, the default was "It was a dark and stormy night"
The game had two phases.
First phase the players would write the next part of the story
Second phase the players would vote which submission would be chosen (submissions were listed anonymously to prevent dicking).
You got a point if your submission was chosen and the winner was the one with the most points after a set number of rounds.

Some writefags would take it seriously, but most of the time the players were bored teens so you'd end with stories like:
[It was a dark and stormy night.] [I looked out the window and saw a nigger in the back yard.] [He was going to break in and rob me,] [but he ran off because ] [he saw the nigger hanging off the front tree.]
Good times.

I'm surprised Jackbox or someone never did a remake, because its a fun parlour game
There is one remake on itchio but there's no server browser so you can't play with anonymous randoms.
Though I guess it wouldn't be as fun today because the internet is a very different place, it'd probably have plebbitors pissing and shitting themselves until it was heavily censored by some crippleware AI.

Fuck yeah, YARN was amazingly fun and I've never seen anything quite like it since.
I played it a ton back before it was GameSpy Arcade, and it was still Mplayer.
There was a ton of little free games on Mplayer that were unique to themselves.

I don't recall this particular game, but that Gamespy program was amazing. The arcade, the server browers, the chats, everything was so fun and useful. Those were the days.
