They were deliberately aiming for "The Biggest Zelda Adventure Ever" so you'd better believe there's padding throughout the entire game.

I wished for HD version of TP with some annoyances reworked like skipping tutorials at beginning, but Niggatendon didn't deliver with Wii U and Switch, and I've lost all interest in Switch2

Only hope is to perhaps buy a Wiimote+ and emulate using dolphin and HD mods

After replaying it over a decade later I agree. Its refreshing to just PLAY an adventure game again. No open world, crafting, item durability, tacked on rpg elements. Just an adventure game, the slow intro everyone bitches about I found charming and enjoyable.
