No, I'm fairly certain almost everyone is going to complain about
>weapon durability degrading too fast
>combat feeling like shit
>some skills being almost useless
>the graphics being "too old"
and to finish it all off you will see plenty of
>"wow this is really the game everyone was raving about this whole time!? it aged like milk..."

Weapon degradation is a shit mechanic anyway. I've only played SS1 remake anyway and that was more than enough after 60+ hours and two playthroughs.

Doubt it. System Shock 2 was always the more accessable of the two. And not many new comers played the remake of SS1 that didn't also play the original System Shock. This remaster will likely get 20 new players.

I'm sure most of the complaints are from longtime SS2 fans who are pissed they are charging $30 for a high res texture pack.
>but muh multiplayer
game was never balanced for it, and I can guarantee they didn't change anything to accommodate it.

It's not that fast imo and maintenance has a very strong effect on repairing weapons. It takes very little to basically invalidate the degradation mechanic and that's in addition to maintenance's other uses.

I used the no degradation cheat on my first playthrough because it's a bullshit concept. Played normally on my second out of curiosity and was surprised it was only a really minor nuisance.

The ability to buy as many maintenance tools as you please makes preserving your weapons trivial.

I tried to play it about 6 months ago. It's a shitty version of Deus Ex. I got about an hour in and gave up.

No, it's too much for legit normalfags to play and pseuds can rightly point out a few serious criticisms like the skill balance being awful that will let them off the hook from having to play it more than a couple of hours

No one because no one actually plays these games, guarantee there's 10x as many people who played the remake of SS1 as people who even launched the original.
SS2 is bigger but everyone knows about it because bioshock already remade the game just worse.

No. What will happen is this board will hyperfixate on a few nimrods then act like the entire fanbase is that way making it impossible to ever discuss this game again here.

Not him, but I remember playing it around 20 years ago. It finally got good when I got to the hanger/storage (?) bay and it was dark and then a suicide robot walked up to me and blew up in my face but I never went back to it. I found Deus Ex 1 to be a better game for me. Both are slow burning games and seem boring until you get further into them however SS2 didn't grab my attention in comparison but I can see how others would like it.

I even remember a thread from 15 years ago (maybe less but definitely over a decade) where a guy talked about some psychic skill and something else that lets you use guns and not have them degrade. Pretty neat if you enjoy SS2 but the weapon degradation adds to the suspense.

And I remember those stupid monkeys blasting me with psionic energy balls too…fukrs.

Maybe. I'm sure there will at least be one active thread, and I'm sure it'll have people who won't be happy about the progression and how purposefully stiffened it is on harder settings.

Balanced? The game was clearly never even designed for it. I did a co-op run through the game with a friend over Hamachi back in the day, and I can't recommended it even to SS2 fans. The fact the game doesn't spawn twice as much supplies is a good thing, forcing the two of you to pick a role and stick with it. But the game doesn't double enemies or their strength, so you smash through everything. The two of you can max out energy and then kill everything with just laser pistols. I can only imagine how much worse it would be with 3 or more people.

Co-op by its very nature is much easier than solo, I don't get why you're complaining.
