>>11816837>and what kind of files were you working with back then that made it a big factor?at the time it was programming applications and school work. we had something like 5mb for data per student and then we were forced to backup shit to disk. all of the software and our files were hosted on the network. without the disk, you can't access your account, your files or run any applications over the network. mac was just a dumb terminal. i do miss it. it was kinda cool at the time.
