>Rampage

Why does Ralph have an exclamation mark? And don't tell me it's so that each name is six characters long.

Riddle me this, then, Rampage had a NES, GBC and N64 game but no SNES game. Why?

I learned that Brian Colin stated that Lizzie was never ever based on Godzilla. She was based on Ymir from 20 Million Miles to Earth. In Universal Tour, Lizzie was held captive in Tokyo, which is pretty much a Godzilla reference.

Best to worst
>Universal Tour
Like World Tour but more
>World Tour
The perfect arcade update, World Tour does everything the original did but better
>Total Destruction
It be higher up if the controls weren’t so clunky. BTW while the Wii version may look like the best one, the waggle controls really suck and I don’t think you can plug in a classic controller to play normally although I could be wrong
>the original
I mean it’s still a really fun game it’s just that it’s sequels just do what it does but better. Fun fact: despite what a ton of old sites on the Internet say, there’s actually no statistical difference between the monsters. They all control the same. The only difference is which human you can hold in your hand.
>Puzzle Attack
It alright. If you never played it then you might be surprised to learn it’s not a Puyo or Tetris ripoff but that it’s actually a clone of a game called “Drop Mania” which was only ever sold by Finnish ice cream vans in the summer of 1999, yes really.
>Through Time
Dogshit. It would be an amazing update to Universal Tour if it wasn’t for three things: 1) it was Playstation only and not compatible with the multitap so you’re limited to two player, 2) despite that there has to be THREE monsters in every fucking stage even if you’re playing with a friend, you still have to deal with an AI monster and said AI is stuck on “huge, dumb asshole” and actively sabotages you at every turn, and 3) the reason there has to be three monsters is that every fourth stage is some shitty mutiplayer minigame that you HAVE to win otherwise it’s a game over. Don’t bother.
Also I’ve never played the arcade game they made for the movie but it’s not retro anyway so whatever.

I would have preferred to see the kaiju transform into a naked woman and run away in shame. In any case, the movie was clearly made to capitalize on the success of Legendary's Godzilla, so it's barely a Rampage movie.

What you haven’t done is play the Atari Lynx version of the original. It is the best.
Even better on multiplayer.
Few know this because the Lynx is so rarely played.

This. Shit in the 80's and 90s were all about being angry, aggressive, having a tude and whatever other boomer brain shit they could do to make the world seem fearful and aggressive. White CEOs of record companies made absolute bank on pushing gang rap and angry urban music to the world under the guise of "telling their stories". Which is why 99% of it tells basically no story and is the same shit.
And for all the heya fellow kis and trying to be 'hip to it' boomer shit like that literally defined a whole culture of garbage. MTV was absolutely soaked in 'tude for it's run and being "angry" was cool. Most video games roll into it just like >>11814063
said. If you gotta question why something was the way it was - it was probably that.

Sonic was this, Duke was this. Simpsons were this. Doom was this.
Hell even a lot of the regionalized versions did this for box art. Fuck - Kirby's artwork made him ANGRY for America on multiple occasions - instead of him being a happy go lucky void sucking destroyer of all worlds without a care.

The opportunity they squeezed is that a new arcade game was shat out.

What I don't get is why World Tour is never on those Arcade1ups they keep producing and it's always the same selection of 80s Midway games+MK1-3, if they can emulate MK3 they can emulate World Tour too
