>cleaning out my closet
>find thrashed Atari 2600 and SNES
I now have way too fucking many consoles. 8 are /vr/
>PSX, PS2, GC, GBA, NES, SNES, Genesis, 2600
I think that makes 14 total. They're being stored until I get around to doing a detail cleaning and fix some busted ports. Help

>too many
Nonsense
2600 is the only one of those that has to use the TV coax antenna connector, the other 6 can just use an 8 way RCA A/V switcher. Depending on the which models you have, PS2, GC, and NES all (can) have flat tops, so they can each hold another console on top. The 2600 might be a place to set the GBA but I prefer keeping it to the side in a soft case. Now hurry up and clean your consoles, get them on display, and start playing them before I call console protective services, blogposter.

Is it safe to stack low heat output consoles? I'm hesitant about doing that

Just happens to find these things in a "closet" that also has a modern MS/MD converter cartridge.

I'd be careful with the 2600 since it has top vents. Space around the vents and any hot spots when running is usually what I pay attention to.

>SNES tossed in the back of a closet while Genesis kept interest and stayed out the whole time and even got cool new accessories

Sega left the console business with a system that is fondly remembered as a cult classic. Nintendo on the other hand stuck around to become known for making toys for soi-chugging manchildren as well as being reviled for being absolute shitheads who go around suing their own fans at every opportunity. Yeah, I'm thinking Sega won the long game.

This would only be true if Sega as a company did not exist currently. Modern Sega is just as soi infused, if not significantly more, than modern Nintendo.

Sega was the king of corporate cock-sucking cross promotion, and they have gone thousand times worse with it since going 3rd party.

Make whatever claims you want, the soiface meme has penetrated the mainstream and is firmyl associated with Nintendo products. "Nintendo Adults" are the video game equivalent of Disney Adults. Sega is far from perfect, but it at least doesn't have such an infamous image.
